What We Added

New Vertical Machining Centers

Milling is commonly used to machine flat surfaces, pockets, contours, holes, slots, and complex features into a part. The two new Haas VF-4SS vertical machining centers increase our capacity for this type of work by allowing us to process more milling work in-house while supporting tight tolerances and repeatability. With high spindle speeds and rapid tool changes, they are especially useful for parts that require multiple machining operations.

Advanced Turning Capabilities

A CNC turning center is often used for round or cylindrical parts such as shafts(opens in new tab), spacers, bushings, and similar components. The Haas ST-28Y turning center offers advanced functionality, including live tooling and Y-axis machining.

In traditional turning, the part rotates while cutting tools shape the outside or inside diameter. Live tooling allows the machine to perform additional operations, such as milling, drilling, and tapping, while the part is still in the machine. The Y-axis capability also allows more complex off-center features to be machined accurately.

For customers, these capabilities mean many parts can be completed in a single setup, with less handling between operations. Completing more work in a single setup improves accuracy and consistency, reduces delays, and keeps more of each job in-house, which means fewer outside handoffs and more direct control over quality and timelines.
